Summary[]
The episode starts off with Parker teaching Breanna how to pickpocket while wearing a coat with bells. Breanna says she wants to do more than stay in the van. Meanwhile, Sophie and Harry are interviewing their next client. The clients, Lenore and her daughter Ava are at risk of losing their house. The team finds out Austin Chaudry is buying up all the real estate on the waterfront to build a casino. He already owns a water boat casino and wants to expand. The team decides to steal from the safe at the riverboat casino. Harry and Sophie do a grift together as a couple getting a divorce to get into the database.
As a part of the con, Parker plays the Sothern Bell. Sophie worries she isn’t up to it, but Parker reminds her she’s been doing this for the past eight years without Sophie. Parker tells Sophie that she and Hardison worked together to create a flowchart to help Parker with conversations while she’s on the grift.
While on the boat, Breanna tries to steal the pearl on display but instantly gets caught. Eliot bonds with the security guard, Dennis, working on the riverboat and even enjoying his pie.
When realizing there’s more money in the safe than Parker can hide under her dress, Breanna thinks up a plan, and the team trusts her. Breanna’s plan is to drill into the boat’s floor and toss the money into the water below, letting the river sweep it away. Their plan is a success, and Harry gives the houses on the lakefront historical status so no one will be able to buy them from the owners. Parker is shown at the end of the episode as haven stole the pearl.

- The Mark is a first-generation son of immigrants who were ruined by the IRS but he still managed to get elected to Congress. He resigned after rumors circulated that he took bribes. He turned evil and tried to take people's homes away from them, but he was far from the one-dimensional shorthand sometimes employed by the show.
- Breanna stole Harry’s wallet without him noticing, but Parker stole it from her.
- Breanna mentions hauling clothes in trash bags from house to house. Something foster kids do
- Breanna’s first memory is of 9/11. She feels like she’s living in the worst timeline and is ready to make the world a better place
- Harry encourages Breanna to become more involved in the team
Trivia[]
- This episode is the third of Leverage: Redemption but it is the first to use the new credit sequence.
- The scene where Parker is testing Breanna with a jacket covered in bells is an old pickpocket tradition to train young pickpockets. Guilds of pickpockets would test new members by attaching each pocket of a jacket with a bell and putting it on a dummy. The pickpocket in training would have to remove an object from a pocket on the jacket without disturbing a bell.
