Synopsis and upcoming stories
Season 4 opens on an Alaskan mountain top a few days after the team leaves San Lorenzo, a planned two-week break interrupted by their latest job. Nate and Sophie come face-to-face for the first time since their unexpected morning after in San Lorenzo, and must decide their next move. The team discovers their headquarters bugged and the team must find out by whom, and why.
Season 4 will run 18 episodes, the longest season yet, with 10 episodes broadcast during Summer 2011. The summer case took the team to a murder mystery night, back in time to World War II with an aging vet, up against big technology, agriculture, and public relations, and to Dubai for an international chess tournament. They also found themselves followed by mysterious business man named Jack Latimer (Leon Rippy), who has learned how to profit from their cases. Summer guest stars included Michael Gladis (The 15 Minutes Job), Danny Glover (The Van Gogh Job), Mitch Pileggi (The Hot Potato Job), and Mark Sheppard returned as Sterling (The Queen's Gambit Job).
Currently on hiatus, the series will return on November 27, 2011 with eight additional episodes. The winter season will take the team into the world of university secret societies, see them coming to the rescue when two old friends find themselves in trouble, find them exploring electronic match-making, and in the season finale, facing a final stand-off with Latimer. Guest stars will include Peter Stormare (The Office Job) and David Ogden Stiers (The Lonely Hearts Job). Returning cast will include Jeri Ryan as old friend Tara Cole, Drew Powell as Jack Hurley, Richard Chamberlain as Archie Leach, Kari Matchett as Maggie Collins, and Tom Skerritt as Nate's erstwhile father, Jimmy Ford.
