Ramsey was Sophie’s mentor, discovering Sophie and her talents early on. He is brilliant but terrifying.

History

Ramsey found Arthur and Sophie as street rats in London and took them into his crew. Ramsey moulded Sophie’s skills, placing her into high society. Once in high society, Sophie convinced rich people to buy forged art that Wilde made. Eventually, someone realized the art pieces were forgeries, and Ramsey convinced Sophie to let Arthur take the fall.

Ramsey, at one point, gifted Sophie, Victor Lustig’s trunk.

Because Ramsey discovered Sophie and moulded her, he believed he owned her. Sophie burned every connection she had to him to get her freedom.

During “The Pyramid Job”, Ramsey had Billy the Gent acquire some land contracts owned by Richard Prosper so that he could build a runway.

The Museum Makeover Job:

Years ago, Ramsey forged a Greek death mask. When the news that the Monarch Museum was going to sell the Greek death masks back to the Greek government, Ramsey realized that his fake was going to be found out. He realizes that this could lead to all of his forgeries being discovered and him going to prison or worse. Later, Ramsey receives a message saying retrieving the object he wanted was unsuccessful.

Billy the Gent contacts Ramsey, saying he can get them into the museum to get Ramsey’s fake. But he needs Ramsey to come with him as he doesn’t know which is the fake. Ramsey agrees and goes with Billy to the museum. As Billy shows Ramsey in, Ramsey starts to get suspicious. Sophie shows up, surprising Ramsey. She explains that she is there to protect herself. Ramsey then uncovers the portrait of Sophie in the museum before being led into the restoration room.

Once inside, he picks up his fake before overhearing commotion outside and hears the museum curator calling Interpol. Ramsey realizes he’s been led into a trap and smashes his forged mask before punching Billy and running off. Ramsey doesn’t get far before running into Astrid, and finding the real mask he forged planted on the ground. Astrid arrests Ramsey, saying that he destroyed her father.
