Mark Andreas Sheppard (born May 30, 1964 in London) plays James Sterling, also known as "Sterling", Nate's former colleague at I.Y.S. and the Leverage team's nemesis.
Sheppard is known for notable appearances on numerous TV shows and some movies, such as Firefly, 24, White Collar, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica, Warehouse 13, and on his regular role as the King of Hell, Crowley, on the American series Supernatural on The CW.
Personal life[]
On December 1, 2023, Sheppard experienced a cardiac emergency in his kitchen prior to going to an appointment and collapsed. He was found by his wife and medical services were dispatched. He posted a picture on Instagram from his hospital bed, stating that he had "six massive heart attacks" and was resuscitated each time after dying four times.
The cardiac event was the result of a 100% blockage of the left anterior descending artery. Blockages of this severity are called "the widowmaker" due how often it proves fatal. Sheppard is recovering and thanked those who helped him.[1]
