The Hyundai Genesis is a car that is occasionally seen on the television show Leverage.
Background[]
Both Alec Hardison, and Nathan Ford have been seen driving them in various episodes.
Appearances[]
Season 1[]
Season 2[]
Notes[]
The Hyundai Genesis is a sponsor of the show, so the car makes several product placement appearances. It appears in multiple different variations, in the coupe version, as well as the sedan. Nate owns the Hyundai Genesis 3.8 Track Coupe, which comes with the 3.8 liter V6 Lambda engine from Hyundai, and produces 348 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Hardison is the owner of the Genesis Sedan. Just like the coupe, the sedan comes with the same 3.8 liter V6, tuned to make less power. However, it is also available with a 4.6 and 5.0 liter V8, which make 385 and 420 horsepower. Nate is seen driving Hardison's Genesis Sedan occasionally throughout the series, but he is the only one to appear in the coupe version, leading to speculation that he is the owner. Although nothing has been confirmed by John Rodgers
Trivia[]
In some of the DVD commentaries, when a car is used, John Rogers will often ask, "Why didn't we use the Genesis in this scene?" One in particular was "The Lost Heir Job" when Nate, Parker, and Eliot Spencer are in a gun fight. The tires of the car get shot out, which was the reason the Genesis models were not used.
